Now that we have settled into a bit of a routine at the Library, we are very excited to announce something new!
Meet the Langdon Sports Equipment Lending Library!
The Connection Courts opened last year to great excitement in the community. With Tennis, Pickleball and Basketball courts, Langdon Community Association wanted to ensure that there were as few barriers to use in place as possible. The LCA has purchased some sports equipment so more people in the community can play, without the huge expense of buying the equipment themselves!
And all you need to do is check them out at the Library! That’s right - we’re more than just books!
Equipment available for loan:
- 4 - sets of pickleball equipment (2 racquets and a ball)
- 4 - sets of youth tennis equipment (2 racquets and a ball)
- 4 - sets of Adult tennis equipment (2 racquets and a ball)
- 6 - size 5 basketballs
- 6 - size 6 basketballs
With your library card, you can check out equipment on a two day loan. Whether you check it out, play and return it the same day, or check it out and play every day for two days - that’s up to you! You can easily renew them online up to three times.
All we ask is that you take care of it and keep it all together and then return them to the Qualico Resource Centre during our regular hours.
