If you answered yes to any of these questions, Libby is the app for you. Libby access the eresources catalog at Overdrive to provide you with access to downloadable ebooks, Magazines and audiobook anywhere, anytime! Its built-in audiobook player will hold your place when it comes time to pause. If you use a Kobo for your reading, you can log into Overdrive on your device and any ebooks you check out on Libby, will automagically download to your Kobo! You can also place holds on popular ebooks and will notify you when they become available (sometimes even faster than the waitlist shows if it becomes a “Lucky Day Read” before your turn arrives!). Subscribe to your favourite magazines and it will inform you when a new issue is ready! Libby is truly an indispensable app for the library user! |

CloudLibraryCloudLibrary is one of those fun little secrets for those who like ebooks. Often, it will have the more popular books available before Libby, simply because users don’t know it exists! Sure, you have to take a couple of extra minutes to side-load the books to your ereader, but you can also read them right from your device with just a tap of your finger. And you can use the books on any device that accepts Adobe Digital Editions…meaning most of them. Versions are available for iOS, Android and Kindle Fire devices. |

TRACPACMarigold Library Systems is part of a large group of Alberta libraries called The Regional Automation Consortium. This gives you access to, not only what Langdon Community Library can hold, but to 185 library collections across the province. The TRACPAC app allows you to ask for any of those books, DVDs, CDs, Audiobooks etc to be sent to our location for pickup! And you can do it all from the screen of your phone! It is the single most important app to get the best value out of your membership! Even better – once you log in, it can also act as your digital library card! |
